ABSTRACT. This study collates a research made in 0-3 years kindergartens from the Madrid City Council and Madrid Community. It aims to prove the need to provide educational proposals in this area that contribute to enhancing the educational significance of this stage, and to allow and encourage the cultural and social development of the vital processes of childhood: social, communicative and affective relationships, meaningful learning and the development of symbolic processes by creating meeting environments and relationship contexts through free play. That is, the didactic proposal is based on the way of enrich symbolically the quality of playing environments focused on children, using the facilities and spaces designed from the meeting between an aesthetic proposal of contemporary art and educational foundation inspired in Aucouturier’s psychomotor practice. This “dialogue” enables and promotes pre-symbolic and symbolic play in a relational context.
