Abstract

The public good and as a strategic imperative for all levels of education higher education must be undertaken responsibly and support from all stakeholders . Never before in history was more important investment in higher education and it is a key for building and advancement of society base. And while many educational challenges that currently face is necessary to establish priority lines of action that will result in a better quality education. It is increasingly clear need to formulate comprehensive policies to improve and sustain the quality of teaching, as an essential condition to ensure student learning. Many higher education enjoy a well-deserved national and international reputation, thanks to the intellectual caliber of its teachers and researchers. This is an important factor of intellectual and moral authority of the university world. In this paper we will address the following questions: Which features assume the training of university teachers? What aspects characterize teacher evaluation at this level? How the evaluation parameters correspond to the objectives proposed by the training system? In seeking answers some proposed integration of the two processes in view to promote comprehensive institutional policies that promote educational excellence at higher level will be presented.
