Abstract

In this paper there is a panoramic of the mental health of the teachers, a social professional group that today is exposed to certain threats that put in risk their psychic balance: wastage of the social prestige, overload of work, frequent change of subjects, critical comments proceeding from the pupils and the parents, interpersonal conflicts, etc. In circumstances like that, it is not surprised that the mental health of the teachers break.
Here is a review of the most frequent psycquical problems in teachers, as the stress syndrom, the depressive disease, the reactions to anxiety, the phobic phenomena and the paranoid synthomatology. Finally, are provided orientations to protect the mental health of the teachers.
