Pedagogical analysis of audiovisual platforms through the penta-dimensional model of educational discourse

In this paper are evaluated, in a pedagogical perspective, 55 audiovisual platforms or webTVs. The selected are those which try to influence formatively in the receptors, both on their knowledge as on their behaviours, attitudes, values, etc. The study responds to the fundamental purpose of assessing the pedagogical power of some virtual spaces that, often, as they say, aspire to fulfil an educational function. Due to the absence of evaluative criteria, in the present analysis was used the pedagogical theory offered by the penta-dimensional model to analyse the educational discourse, which has allowed to discuss audiovisual platforms and webTVs from a scientific perspective.
Thanks to the aforementioned model was stablished a definition of audiovisual web platform and were identified five dimensions of interdependent analysis: instructive, affective, motivational, social and ethical. This article presents summarily indicators attached to the respective evaluative dimensions of the educative virtuality of audiovisual platforms. The results of the study allow to conclude that, in general, the platforms analysed present considerable educational deficiencies.
