Abstract

Digital education has acquired a notable presence in the humanities, giving rise to the specific term "Digital Humanities". This emerging field arises from the application of computer science to the humanities disciplines. The Digital Humanities encompasses a broad interdisciplinary spectrum that focuses on the theory and practice of digital and computational methods in humanities research and teaching. This approach is increasingly present in educational institutions, both in schools and in humanities specialist training programs, as well as in library and information science programs.
