Abstract

This article shows the treatment that the professional training teaching has received in the different reforms of the Spanish educational system. From the historical perspective, the main laws that regulate this teaching are analyzed and it is described the new dual professional training system which has recently been regulated in Spain. This article concludes emphasizing the necessity that the educational institutions and the work centers jointly must produce learning environments where all the parties must be able to learn and this article also concludes that it is convenient that both theoretical and practical knowledges must be integrated so that high level competences are developed in order to improve the labor perspectives of the people, their employability and the improvement in the competitiveness of the companies.
