About the Journal
Focus
The Ibero-American Journal of Education (Revista Iberoamericana de Educación), or the REI, is a scientific publication of the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), which aims to provide a high quality forum for education policy makers, researchers and education professionals who wish to publish scientific findings, analyses, innovations or research on educational issues that can lead to improvements in education policies and systems in Ibero-America.
Scope
The journal includes studies on topics related to education in the Ibero-American field. These studies explore scenarios in both the public and private sectors, published in quarterly monographs in Spanish and/or Portuguese. In this way, since 1993, it has been internationally disseminating the most relevant advances in research and innovation in education.
Each monographic issue of the journal is made up of a selection of articles received through public calls for papers on a specific theme. The coordination of the monographic issues is organised by several renowned specialists in the corresponding area of education.
RIE also edits extraordinary issues in other areas of education which complement the monographs. These special issues, made up of papers received by the editorial office through open calls for papers, are selected after undergoing, like the monographic issues, a strict scientific evaluation policy in compliance with international standards.
