The dynamics of world changes facing higher education systems today sponsored by the new world paradigms: Globalization, regionalization, scientific-technological revolution and knowledge society, require a new profile for the university professional of the century XXI, characterized by mastery and the development of greater competences and skills, among which the reading abilities seen as an added strategic value of their academic-professional training stand out. In this perspective and considering the defining and strategic role that has been assigned to reading in recent years at the international concert, this article analyzes what are the requirements and problems of reading in the educational field, with special reference at the university level from a globalized perspective under the protection of new world paradigms , highlighting the particular case of the Universidad Juárez Autónoma from Tabasco.Downloads
