Estudio sobre los usos de las TIC y las posibilidades de empoderamiento en las mujeres

Abstract

Empowerment is a process of empowerment of people who are disadvantaged in relation to other, sometimes collectively and other individual to make decisions about your life, be participants and make positive changes in this. The measure of empowerment in relation to Information Technology and Communication is difficult because it involves analyzing the skills, knowledge, access and use of these technologies. This article is based on research that aimed to reveal how women use and relate to ICT. This developed as tools of empowerment of women in relation to ICT through two Likert-type scales were applied to a sample of 854 women. The data show that women generally have a moderate degree of empowerment and it differs by age group.
