Abstract

In recent years, the use of theatre has been increasing in education beyond the extracurricular context. Gradually it has become a powerful and useful resource for conducting educational practices that promote student’s learning. Proof of this, are the recent studies of Onieva López (2011) and Pérez Fernández (2011). In the area of Spanish language and literature, the inclusion of this resource contributes to work together with the linguistic and literary competences that the official curriculum includes. The main aim of this project is to know how the theater contributes to the teaching-learning process of 4th year Secondary school group and if it allows to work together with specific contents of Spanish Language and Literature with the proper scientific contents. Through observations we conclude that firstly the theater is a resource valuable to get the properly skills of the Spanish Language and Literature and, secondly, to link and to put in practice the humanistic and scientific knowledge. The latter, emphasizes our need to include this educational practice in the classroom.
