This article reflects the experience of creating digital stories in an online continuing educational training course for teachers of Spanish language in Brazil, carried out in the framework of an international cooperation project established between the State University of Campinas (Brazil) and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), with the sponsorship of the education ministries of both countries.
The 66 hours course had as its central goal the training in the use of educational technology, facilitating the use of web edition tools for the creation of digital educational resources. Since 2005, the teaching of Spanish is compulsory in all secondary schools in Brazil; however, the basic and continuing education of teachers from the area has received little incentive. The circulation and production of materials for the teaching of the Spanish language is a matter of interest in this context, because the potential of icts enhance these authorial creation practices of digital educational resources.
The creation of digital stories was the proposal of the final work of the course, which incorporated different multimedia elements to the oral narrative.
