The transfer of technology in public universities in Brazil, crucial for fostering innovation and technological progress, was the subject of evaluation in this research across the country’s five geographical regions. The research approach was primarily quantitative, supplemented by a qualitative component. A questionnaire with 33 questions tailored to the studied reality was employed. To analyze the results, quantitative measures of variability dispersion such as mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation were used. Additionally, correlation analyses between variables of different dimensions were conducted using the Pearson correlation coefficient (R) to assess data variability. The results, examined through quantitative measures of variability dispersion and Pearson correlations, highlighted significant differences among universities due to their organizational structures. The “personnel” dimension received the highest average score with a moderate dispersion of 18.23%, while the dimensions of evaluation, marketing, environment, and society received lower scores. This study provides an overview of knowledge transfer activities in Brazilian public universities, which can serve as a basis for more effective decision-making in the academic field.
