In the framework of action-research, which seeks to improve educational practice, the use of social networking, specifically Facebook, is analysed in the context of the Environmental Education for Development course of the Primary Education degree. Through this classroom practice, it was intended to promote environmental literacy and to improve the environment in order to enable the planet’s sustainability .
The evaluation results shown come from an observation template which collected every student's comments, statistics of the Facebook page made by the social network itself, a questionnaire provided to students and the teacher’s perceptions. The analysis of these data reveals a high degree of involvement and satisfaction by both the students and the teacher.
