Abstract

In recent years, the influence of a particular way of understanding the educational evaluation in university life has increased considerably. Within the framework of education in general and the university in particular has become a regulatory activity closer to certification to lead to better perceived from its complexity. But the evaluation is a complex process, therefore, can not be resolved only objective or nomothetic.

After briefly reviewing the historical genesis of the various concepts most relevant to the assessment, this paper attempts to critically analyze the presence of nomothetic assessment culture on campus. Later, he reflects on some contextual conditions of this culture in teaching and research university. Finally, he expressed some effects of the culture of nomothetic assessment related to scientific research.
