Resumo

El estudio del paisaje lingüístico, definido como el uso de la lengua en signos en los espacios públicos, ha experimentado un desarrollo significativo en los últimos años. La investigación en este ámbito está relacionada con varias disciplinas, entre ellas la lingüística, la psicología, la economía, la historia, la geografía urbana y la educación. Este artículo ofrece una perspectiva general sobre el estudio del paisaje lingüístico en el contexto educativo. En primer lugar, examina la definición, el alcance y la metodología de la investigación del paisaje lingüístico. A continuación, explora las principales tendencias en este campo en relación con la educación. El paisaje lingüístico en los espacios públicos sirve como un recurso valioso para el aprendizaje de lenguas, proporcionando un input auténtico. Además, fomenta la conciencia crítica de las lenguas y las desigualdades sociales. En las escuelas el paisaje lingüístico tiene características únicas y genera varias funciones.
