Vol. 100 No. 1 (2026): Education for democracy, human rights and full citizenship
Currently, the vast majority of Latin American citizens live in democratic regimes under the rule of law. However, the transformative power of democracy as a mechanism for coexistence is being undermined daily by the structural challenges posed by social and economic inequality, which create deep divisions and dissatisfaction. Against this backdrop, our articles aim to inform the discourse on bolstering democracy and the pivotal role of education in fostering a political culture that nurtures citizens with critical thinking and civic engagement skills.
