Vol. 83 No. 1 (2020): The governance of educational systems in Ibero-America
The governance study of the educational system is, somehow, the research on the exercise of power between the actors of an “extended” educational community, that is, teachers, students, families and civil servants, but also companies, political institutions, social groups, inter alia. These new ways of connection between the society and the State within the educational field are not without interests, and affect the construction of reform approaches, of political priorities and of program design. The monograph, coordinated by professor Ricardo Cuenca, introduces a series of articles for the purposes of contributing to the debate on the multiple ways of governance regarding educational systems, as well as the possibilities and limitations thereof in the quest for a better education
