Capacitação de professores dos primeiros anos do ensino fundamental: uma abordagem significativa de conceitos físicos

This article presents the process of elaboration and development of an extension course aimed to teachers training for the early years of elementary school in the Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Salomão Iochpe, in the city of Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul, about Physics concepts that are present in this stage of education. In this didactic proposal, pedagogically based on Aprendizagem Significativa, was developed initially the teaching methodology, with the approach of concepts and ideas of this theory. Evidences of the aprendizagem significativa were obtained through research and evaluation tools such as concept maps and reports of activities in which the course participants implemented the topics covered in new contexts. Based on the records of the meetings, it was found that students truly understand the topics covered. Similarly, the concept maps showed that they were able to establish a progressive differentiation and integrative reconciliation of concepts. Finally, the course was rated as excellent by the participants. Thus, it was concluded that a methodology with a focus on a meaningful content for the student it is essential to develop a taste for science, the construction of meaning and appreciation of what is being learned.
