The international community, through various social movements and organisations, has been raising the need to think about development in terms of environmental and social sustainability. Hence, integral environmental education is a topic of current relevance that justifies the publication of a monographic issue.
The Revista Iberoamericana de Educación, in co-edition with the Revista in-fan-cia Latinoamericana, offers a selection of studies and experiences that address environmental education regulations, plans and programmes from different perspectives, with the aim of promoting education for sustainable development and comprehensive environmental education as a right of children in our region.
